Bandon Dunes

As a sanctioned Punju Golf event, four of our distinguished members decided to make the trip up to Bandon Dunes to test their skills against one of the best links style courses in the world.

It was an ambitious plan to drive from Saratoga to Bandon Dunes, but Mr. Narain rallied the troops, pulled together a 4-some and made it happen. Your dedication is applauded.

Well done boys. Well done.

I am sure there are many stories that will require unpacking. It isn’t often that a crew will drive 18+ hours to play golf. I can only imagine the stories of heartache, pain and suffering. The 18+ hour driving time must have been epic. Naturally to pass the time, there must have been Moby Dick like stories.

The question will be whether spending this much time together will improve the camaraderie between this four-some. Our next Punju Golf Ryder Cup is July 23rd - 25th at Pebble Beach. Will this crew be ready? What stories transpired between them that will now give them an advantage over one another? This crew will have to further provide some color commentary on what went down this Father’s day weekend.

According to Mr. Sood, the best course was Sheep Ranch, one of the newest courses at Bandon. And definitely worthy of a future Punju Golf Tournament.

Based on the scores, and the four rounds it appears that Mr. Sood is the low net leader for the weekend and takes home the trophy. Though looking at how Mr. Singh played in the first round (107) and then coming back to shoot an 88 in the second round, I would objectively state that Mr. Singh definitely receives the award for the most improved.
